Activities

 

 

1. Conducting Research (WP2) on the awareness level and good practices in mental sports in the partnered NGOs’ countries and at an European level. This research that will be conducted at the level of school psychologists, PE teachers and sport trainers.

 

 

2. Training format will be created for PE teachers and trainers. This training format will be received by 5 PE teachers/trainers, who will then apply the gathered information during their activity, during classes/trainings. Over 100 youngsters, aged 11-19, will benefit from these “workshops”.

 

 

3. Complementary to the Workshops, local physical (5 per partner, 20 in total) and online events (2 per partner with the local community; 2 with participants from all 4 countries) will be organised.

 

4. Dissemination focused on the development and promotion of good practices in mental sports and how these can play an influential role in the development of soft-skills (to decision makers, educational entities, sport and youth focused NGOs, local media outlets) to encourage the use and practice of mental sports on a larger scale, in order to help with both the harmonious development of youngsters and their participation within the community (as these sports can be practiced indoors, outdoors and even remotely


5. Final conference will be organised, in order to disseminate the project’s results (WP4), during the last TPM of the project, in Greece. This will focus on the beneficial effects of mental sports and how these can be a part of soft skills development for young people. The goal of this activity is to spread the word about the benefits of mental sports on the development and involvement of youngsters.

 

6. The Sustainability of the project will be assured through agreements with local educational institutions and/or youth centres, through which the partners will donate the purchased chess, go and draughts sets, in exchange for the involved institutions to guarantee their visibility and availability to use for free for youngsters.
